All aboard for light rail in Fremantle, Cockburn and Murdoch
This is how we could be getting to and from work, university or the shops in the near future thanks to a plan by the Greens to introduce more light rail systems to cities aorund Australia.
Pictured, you see Fremantle Mayor Brad Pettitt, South Metro MLC Lynn MacLaren, Senator Scott Ludlam and Fremantle candidate Kate Davis, who are already on board with plans to build Freo-Cockburn Central and Freo-Murdoch light rail links.
In the next few weeks, the Greens will be holding information sessions around Perth to tell people about the social, environmental and financial benefits of light rail.

Fremantle: 7pm Tuesday 3 August at the Film and Television Institute (92 Adelaide Street Fremantle)
Rockingham: 3pm Sunday 8 August at the Rockingham Environment Centre (49 Safety Bay Road Peron)
Perth: 8pm Monday 9 August at the Woodville Pavillion (Corner of Farmer & Fitzgerald Streets North Perth)
Subiaco: 7.30pm Wednesday 11 August at the Palms (corner of Nicholson and Rokeby Roads Subiaco)
Mt Pleasant: 7pm Thursday 12 August at the Canning Bridge Senior Citizens Centre (64 Kishorn Rd Mt Pleasant)
Warwick: 7.30pm Tuesday 17 August at Ellersdale Club Rooms (50 Ellersdale Ave Warwick)
Victoria Park: 7pm 18 August at the Victoria Park Bowling Club (18 Kent Street Victoria Park)
