Crabs, choirs and electric cars at the 2010 Hulbert Street Fiesta

Now in its third year, the 2010 Hulbert Street Sustainability Fiesta was, once again, a huge success. Lynn was there along with thousands of other people over two beautiful spring days to enjoy the music, food and entertainment on offer.

Highlights included Peter with his newly converted electric car. The BMW was converted by the Perth Electric Vehicle Shop.

Memory Walk for Alzheimer's Australia WA

Lynn, who is WA Greens spokesperson for Seniors, is pictured here placing her flags the Alzheimer's Australia WA Memory Walk at Curtin University.

The walk was organised to honour the 23,000 people in WA who have Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia, or in memory of a loved one. The aim of the day was to walk, jog or run as many times as possible around the oval any time during the day from 9.30am until 4pm.

Changing things one bite at a time

Recently Lynn attended an informative presentation called “Food Inc and our Food Future” given by Michelle Denise and Geoff Bebb at the South Perth Learning Centre. 

Michelle and Geoff are passionate about spreading an awareness of what is happening to food and agricultural practices in this country.   

They are also keen to impart practical ways of promoting healthy, ethical food choices.  Participants at the presentation left with a “What you can do list”.
