Green light for new food labelling

The Australian Greens say a new system of food labelling announced today by Sanitarium should be introduced for all food and beverage products to help consumers make informed purchasing decisions.

New EPA rules open small window of opportunity in Margaret River coal mine fight

WA Greens MPs have called on Western Australians to support residents and business owners in the Margaret River region by going to the EPA website and making their views known about the proposed coal mine. The new EPA rules will, for the first time, give the public seven days to comment on submissions about levels of assessment.

Truthful labelling a must for farmers, economy and food security

Australians have again called for a truthful method of buying locally produced and processed food in the latest Roy Morgan poll on food labelling, says Australian Greens Deputy Leader, Christine Milne.

Changing things one bite at a time

Recently Lynn attended an informative presentation called “Food Inc and our Food Future” given by Michelle Denise and Geoff Bebb at the South Perth Learning Centre. 

Michelle and Geoff are passionate about spreading an awareness of what is happening to food and agricultural practices in this country.   

They are also keen to impart practical ways of promoting healthy, ethical food choices.  Participants at the presentation left with a “What you can do list”.
