Australian Academy of Science report on climate change

Climate change sceptics might want to check out the latest Academy of Science report for a simple question and answer style outline of what we know about our changing climate.

“Climate change, due to the rise of CO2 and other greenhouse gases, is real, measureable and dangerous. Urgent action is required to arrest potentially devastating impacts,” said Lynn MacLaren, Greens MLC.

Happy Birthday Sustainable Energy Association WA

Lynn MacLaren MLC would like to congratulate the Western Australian Sustainable Energy Association on another milestone - its 8th birthday.

WA SEA was established in 2002 to promote the development of a sustainable energy industry as a solution to reducing Australia’s greenhouse gas emissions.

It now has over 330 members, making WA SEA the largest energy industry chamber in Australia.

Greens Renewable Energy Feed-in Tariff Bill

Recently launched renewables legislation from the WA Greens is expected to attract even more support following widespread disappointment at the State Government’s decision to clear another hurdle to a coal power resurgence in Collie.

The new legislation would greatly reduce the need to build more dirty coal-fired power plants and there is growing behind-the-scenes support for the Bill.
