Cockburn Cement protest rally
Hundreds of people held a protest rally near the Cockburn Cement factory on Saturday May 8, voicing concerns about corrosive dust and odour.
There have been more than 50 complaints lodged with the Department of Environment and Protection this year.
The office of Lynn Maclaren MLC recently made a submission on the Cockburn Cement Draft License.
This submission was informed by consultation with local constituents and experts in the field of heavy industry pollution and toxicity.
