2 weeks after the Federal Election Gay & Lesbian Equality (WA) will be hosting a workshop & community forum, looking at how we approach the campaign for full equality with the new Federal government, and the current State government.

WHEN: Saturday 4th September, 12pm - 5pm

WHERE: Perth CBD (Venue TBA)

COST: Free

The event will include:

• Senator Louise Pratt (ALP) speaking on the dynamics of the new Federal parliament and how best to achieve change
• Lynn MacLaren MLC (Greens) speaking on the dynamics of the current State Parliament, and what change is possible
• Presentations on uniquely successful contemporary campaigns / community initiatives (i.e. Pink Dot, GetUP!, the Obama Campaign)
• Community forum / workshop on what campaign actions are pursued into the remainder of 2010 / 2011
