"No government has the right to tell its citizens when or whom to love." - Rita Mae Brown
Lynn and the Greens believe that every person is entitled to equal access of opportunity, justice and democracy regardless of their culture, class, race, age, gender, sexuality or nationality.
In order to promote and actively pursue social justice for all, the Greens believe that gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered people have the same rights as other citizens and should be free from all harassment and discrimination.
Lynn is committed to working towards and protecting equal rights for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex people (LGBTI) and to achieve social justice in the area of sexuality and gender identity.
The Greens have been working tirelessly to allow equality in marriage for years, including the introduction of motions and bills many times.
Senator Sarah Hanson-Young introduced a Marriage Equality Bill at a Federal level and Lynn has tabled a Same Sex Marriage Bill in the WA Parliament.
Lynn believes that discrimination on the grounds of sexuality or gender identity is totally unacceptable.
There is no time like the present to promote and protect the individual rights of every Australian and that includes the right to marry any person they choose.
